Do Emirates Skywards miles expire?
Short answer
Yes. Emirates Skywards miles are valid for three years from the date you earn them. In the year they are due to expire, they expire at the end of the month you were born.
How the Emirates Skywards rule works
Each batch of miles has its own date, because the three years count from when that batch was earned. Emirates' example: miles earned in June 2019 by a member with an August birthday expire on 31 August 2022.
Platinum members are the exception. Emirates says their miles do not expire for as long as they keep Platinum tier, and they see an adjusted expiry date instead. If the member moves down to Gold, miles held over this way can then expire.
Emirates also lets you pay to extend miles that are due to expire in the next 3 months by another 12 months, or to reinstate miles that expired within the last 6 months.

What is a Skywards mile worth?
It depends on how you spend it. Emirates does not publish one fixed value per mile. Our Skywards value guide gives MYLO's own estimate, use by use.
